“So Now We’re Not Prepared For Natural Disasters”, Thanks To A Man Made Disaster!

"A disaster caused by forces of nature Types Climatologic–e.g., hurricanes, tornados; geologic–e.g., earthquake, volcanoes OR an emergency situation posing significant danger to life and property that results from a natural cause". That’s a Natural Disaster. Very uncalled for. But how do you call a disaster upon yourself? Simply by being ignorant.

A UN study, that examined possible consequences of global warming in the next 20 to 30 years, has identified India as one of the "hot-spots", particularly vulnerable to increase in extreme drought, floods and cyclones in the coming decades. The study found that India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Indonesia are the global warming hot-spot nations that are already facing considerable political, social, demographic, economic and security obstacles. It is believed that Climate Change can greatly undermine efforts to meet these challenges.

But yes, we do have those who have expressed their concern over such issues and taken a step towards helping human kind. One of the most striking studies have revealed that the warming phenomenon has taken a toll over our very own Sunderbans. But scientists from all over the country are engaged in finding a solution to this problem and to save the world's largest mangrove forest.

So at the end of the day, it is for us to decide if we still want to call death upon ourselves. Or do what we know deep down inside, is right.
